Trying to identify all international players

Det gäller att hitta rätt samarbetspartners i arbetet med att främja svensk design internationellt, nu när vi går in för internationalisering. Ibland är det svårt att orientera sig bland alla departement, myndigheter, organisationer och aktörer som håller på med internationalisering från olika perspektiv: export och tillväxt, nation branding, kulturutbyte, utbildning... Helt klart behövs en samlande kraft och en handlingsplan. Vi måste fortsätta att vara action-orienterade och göra nedslag internationellt, samtidigt som vi deltar i den övergripande diskussionen och lobbyarbetet. Det räker inte med ord. Show - don't tell!


Svensk Form is now entirely focusing on internationalization. As ambassadors for Swedish Design abroad and just as important to bring the international design to Sweden. One part of this work is to try to identify all the ministries, authorities, organisations and other bodies who are working with export, nation branding and cultural exchange related to design. Quite an undertaking. We clearly need a common action plan in order to succeed! Show, don't tell is one of our mottos.

Our challenge is also to move on with exhibitions and events in real life - at the same time as we participate in the overall discussion and policy making. We can't just sit and wait for yet another study or strategy.
